BOXofGREEN is a specially designed stone wool box that functions as a water reservoir, supplying the tree with the right amount and balance of oxygen and water. This way, the tree's owner is relieved of a large part of the irrigation work and can also look forward to stronger growth. 
The sides of the BOXofGREEN box can absorb and retain up to 400 liters of the natural surface water that runs in. The tree's roots quickly work their way into the specially designed structure of the stone wool, ensuring they achieve natural, strong, and healthy growth. It's that simple!

What is BOXofGREEN made of?

And why is it so ideal as a growing medium?

Our rock wool is made from naturally occurring basalt rock, a volcanic stone that is melted at high temperatures and spun into fine fibers. Together with a small amount of binder (resin), the fibers form the airy yet sturdy rock wool that we use in BOXofGREEN's growing media.

The material has an exceptionally high water retention capacity and creates optimal conditions around the roots, where both water and oxygen are readily available. Over time, the rock wool gradually breaks down into sand and small stones as the tree's roots grow and establish themselves naturally.
